Playwrights on the Web -

Working Assets Long Distance Animals Fund

S. James Farkas was born in Huntington, New York in 1960.
He received a bachelors degree in economics in 1988 from the College of Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina. S. James has lived in thirteen states and has traveled to over thirty countries spanning four continents. He is a member of The Dramatists Guild, North Carolina Writers' Network, The North American Academy of Arts and Sciences, Northwest Playwrights Guild, and Playwrights Producing Company. His life experience as well as education give his writing appeal to people of all age and circumstance.

There's nothing quite as satisfying as seeing your work in print. Now take that a step further, and see your words come to life in a play. To witness people acting out the world's you create is the greatest thrill you can imagine.

What's New?

An recenttrip to Beijing, China was most memorable.

It was all that one could anticipate and more. Read the series of articles the trip produced in "The Skin" (a direct link is provided below). Check out my monthly column in the same rag!!

We have just returned from Sundance, Utah and some REAL skiing, it was great. the staged reading of , "Blue Suede Shoes and Bagel Crisps", was a huge success, thanks to all the cast and the media for providing such extensive coverage.

I have also created and maintain the website for "Playwrights Producing Company, Inc." Check out this Wilmington institution of theater today through the link below!! The local publication of Liberty Quill Press, "The People's Civic Record" will have as its cover story an article I'd written on Thailand. I will have monthly articles appearing in it as well. Check it out!
